a greeting from a canine

She wanted to say hi.

Have a nice, snowy evening! We're expecting over a foot of snow here. Um, craaazy talk.

So long!

yes, I'm throwing in a random photo of winter because I usually don't like just having a post of words. so there you go.

{This idea is from Carlotta... I thought I mind as well try it out!}

confession. I am not an organized human being. Like, seriously, not at all. It drives me nuts, but I'm not. I should probably work on that.

confession. I am extremely excited for a fun weekend. Tonight, we're having our family small group over... then tomorrow, I'm having breakfast with some girls in my other small group, headed to a party tomorrow night, then to church on Sunday, and there's probably more that I can't think of right now. It will be good.

confession. I have a lot to do today and too little time to do it in. This is where being organized comes in.

confession. I still have twinkly lights up on my mirror in my room. You know, the icicle lights people put on the tree at Christmastime? Yup. Still there. Maybe I'll just keep them there all year.

confession. I drink iced coffee in the winter. I don't have to make sense, okay?

confession. I looove my iPod touch. It is incredible... seriously. Some of my favorite apps right now include...

  • PS Express (Photoshop for the iPod, iPhone, iPad, etc.)
  • Beatwave
  • Thicket
  • Hipstamatic
  • and Pandora. Check 'em out, seriously.
confession. I haven't been very motivated with photography over the past week. I feel like I've taken every possible shot of winter at our place... but I know that's not the case. I'm determined to head out tomorrow and come back with some great photos.

confession. I have way to big of a sweet tooth. It's bad. The other day, I looked in the pocket of a pair of jeans and was shocked at how many candy wrappers were in there. Yikes! (I really hope my mom isn't reading this........)  :)

confession. I should really stop confessing now because, as you know, I have things to do. See ya!

how are YOU?

{linking up to On Cloud Nine because I looooove how this photo turned out... I did some different editing than usual, and  I like it. And I'm just happy today. Ha!}

Have a lovely little Wednesday! SHARE THIS POST

my weekend, diy, etc.

My Weekend.

It consisted of the little things.

knitting, a fire, and listening to Beautiful Things by Gungor

Blockhead. The "simplest", yet, best game ever

A DIY project.

I {heart} black and white
I was inspired by The Wonder Mission for this project. {This post.}

Head over to Snapfish, and create an account if you don't have one. I got twenty free prints for doing it! So, if you feel like it, order twenty black and white photos. I arranged the photos in a geometric shape on my wall and LOVE how it turned out. Simple, but a cool effect.

That's all for today. Hope your Monday was a good one. Xo. SHARE THIS POST

A Kaleidoscope of Ordinary

I know this is post number two for today... but like I said earlier, I had an announcement about my new blog.

It's called A Kaleidoscope of Ordinary. I'd love it if you headed over and took a peek! :)

Thanks everyone! SHARE THIS POST

happy saturday!

Hi everyone!

First of all... I just hit ten followers! I'm so thrilled! Haha. I know a lot of people whose blogs have hundreds or thousands... but hey, the first 10 is a big step! :) So thanks.

Also... please take the time to watch this video. If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know that I have a heart for orphans. This video really hit home for me. It puts into words the questions that run around my head about the orphan crisis today. There are over 147 million children without families right now. This video shows a bunch of facts about Ethiopia, a country God has put on my heart. The poverty that these people face is incredible. Many, if not most, live on less than $2.00 per day. And someone please remind me- how much does a tall latte at Starbucks cost? Perspective, people. Perspective.

So. That's all I've got for today.

Never mind. I lied. Kind of. I have decided to shut down my project 365 blog... and instead open a new one, a sort of journal of thankfulness for the little things in life. It's almost done... I just have to make a new header in Photoshop, then I'll post the link to it!! Stay tuned. :) Have a great weekend!!

friday is here. ♥

It's FRIDAY! :) I'm so ready for the weekend. I bet you are too.

scavenger hunt sunday

Looking up.

A different view.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

the view from saturday

Isn't that the title of a book? The view from Saturday? Maybe I'm dreaming. That wouldn't be the first time. Anyways. Ahem. I love how that sounds. The view from Saturday is pretty relaxing for me today. How about you?

My view is also full of snow. And photo challenges.

Okay. I love this photo. I'm in love with Scrabble letters... seriously. So
 much potential and so many creative possibilities!!

The Paper Mama

I adore winter.

By the way- I was thinking of opening an Etsy shop sometime soon- maybe in the spring. What do you think? Anyone a veteran Etsy seller, or have advice? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. :)

Have a lovely weekend friends! Hope the view from your Saturday is a good one. SHARE THIS POST

light, light, light up the sky

{1.} Skies

I love the sky. I have so many shots of it, but here are a few of my favorites.

{linking this one up to Foto Friday}

{...and this one to another blog-hop}
I don't like to edit my sky photos too much because I feel like that's God's job to change how the sky looks. But with this shot of a rainbow, changing the contrast really brought out the silhouette of the trees and the color of the rainbow more clearly.

and then, she {snapped}

{2.} Macro Friday

Blogging from Bolivia

{3.} Light, light, light up the sky

I adore The Afters' new song, Light Up the Sky. Heard it yet? If not, listen to it on iTunes and then BUY IT. :) Ha, it's my favorite right now. Partially because of all my sky shots, and how I love the sky.

Happy Friday!
